The Two Things It Takes To Reach Your Goals
There are tons of self help books out there and most of us read them voraciously (including me). But how much have those books REALLY helped you? Now, don’t get me wrong. Most of those books have good information. Things like being organized are extremely important.
However, it has been my experience that when I read a list of 10 things to do in order to be successful it’s just more than I can keep up with. I am so busy making sure that I am doing everything on the list every single day that I concentrate more on the list than my actual goals.
Does this sound familiar?
Because of this I decided to put together a revised list that would cover everything in general. And guess what? It’s only two items long.
So here goes:
Now, I know what you are thinking. But think about it. The most successful people in the world are the ones who ALWAYS refused to give up. What most of us would consider a failure is considered an opportunity to learn for them. So if you are persistent in all things while working toward your goal, then most of the smaller things will fall into place (such as being positive and never being discouraged).
Block Out All the Noise
This simply means having tunnel vision that only sees your goals. This means not letting your other responsibilities get in the way. Maybe you have dozens of things you need to be doing, but don’t let those things drown out your true goals in life. Let’s say you are writing a book but never seem to have time to work on it. Does it really matter if you clean our the frig? Or vacuum today? And can’t you run those errands tomorrow? Sometimes you must learn to let some of the little thing in order to accomplish the big things.
So there you have it. If you follow this two recommendations then you will be on the road to success and reaching all your goals in life.
